Cinderella Search

Sem questionar o Prêmio Nobel de Literatura concedido a Robert Zimmerman – nunca fui Fã do Cabra, e portanto não conheço suas Lyrics – sempre tive queda por Músicas que falassem de Dores de Cotovelo terminais, Corações Partidos, Sofrimentos abissais por Amores não correspondidos, Fim do Mundo por causa de alguém que não quis.

RIC OCASEK (via THE CARS) e SHAKIRA, por exemplo, foram grandes expoentes deste tipo de lamentação pública.

Quantas milhares de vezes ouvi “Lost & Found” do GOLDEN EARRING ("Cut", 1984) por pura Deprê de abandono? (embora dor de cotovelo não seja especialidade dos holandeses):

"We are all FUGAZI!"

Mas imho, o melhor Letrista da História, o mais complexo, o de mais brilhantes construções, melhores interpretações, maior genialidade no uso de construções, é disparado Derek William Dick, a.k.a. FISH, o eterno Vocalista do MARILLION. As letras do Disco “Fugazi” (1984) são as mais complexas de todos os tempos, e quem souber cantá-las de cor merece proficiência automática na Língua Inglesa.

Apresento abaixo alguns extratos da Letra de “Cinderella Search”, que não foi lançada em nenhum Disco oficial da Banda. Escolhi estes trechos não em função da complexidade presente em outras canções, mas pela forma que aborda meu assunto preferido:
